“What is the most important thing to you in life?” Write down the first thing that comes to mind.   

“After that, what’s the most important thing to you life?” and capture what immediately comes to mind.

  • Sleep as much as your body needs but not more
  • Create a regular sleep and awake time
  • Ensure a positive sleep environment: comfortable bed, dark room, limited noise, no TV
  • Exercise during the day to support sleep
  • Avoid coffee, alcohol, nicotine or other depressants or stimulants where possible
  • Engage in a relaxing activity before bed
  • Use a sleep assistance resource like sleep meditation, guided sleep visualisation, relaxation breathing or mindfulness
  • Do not stay awake in bed for too long. If you can’t sleep engage in a relaxing activity and return to bed when sleepy.
