Divided attention

Sometimes in our busy lives we are managing many conflicting priorities; home, career, family, deadlines, clients, all vying for attention in some form. At these times, we often find ourselves moving through life without being consciously aware or noticing the impacts on the mind and  body. We may not recognise how we are perceiving, what we are thinking or be aware of how these stressors may contribute to experiences.

Stress can be experienced in many forms and to varying intensities. Daily stressors are different from stress as a result of sudden undesirable change or trauma. However the body responds to stress in similar ways, whether it is mild or intense, direct or indirect. The effects of stressors manifest in many physical and emotional forms.
